Rachel Stoddard Bio:

Rachel has worked as a music educator in the Valley for 30 years. Currently she runs a private voice studio and directs the choirs and teaches voice lessons at Rosie’s House Music Academy for Children in Phoenix.  She has sung with Arizona Music Fest (Carousel,) Sonoran Desert Chorale and ProMusica Arizona and performed in and music directed many musical theatre productions. Rachel has a Master’s degree in Music Education from ASU and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Susquehanna University. She is married to Mark Stoddard, theatre director, performer and educator. They enjoy traveling to visit their 3 grown children and hiking with their dogs.

Rachel is accepting new students for the Fall Semester - starting the week of August 11, 2025.

Individual voice lessons are a great way to help students develop their voice, prepare for auditions, build musicianship skills and gain confidence. One of my main goals is to help students become comfortable with their voice, recognize their strengths and identify areas to improve. Together we’ll work to build healthy vocal technique through a variety of exercises and repertoire ranging from musical theatre to contemporary, folk songs and classical. I especially enjoy helping students prepare for auditions - choosing appropriate pieces, making audition cuts and exploring character development, gesture & movement options.

* Lessons are taught in my home which is conveniently located near the corner of Cave Creek Road & Beardsley Road. (Right off the 101 freeway between the 51 interchange and the Cave Creek Road Exit.)

* Lessons are taught on a weekly basis (bi-weekly lessons can be arranged.) Lesson Rates are as follows:

$45 for 30 minutes

$60 for 45 minutes

* Payment is due monthly and can be made by cash, check or Zelle. There is a 10% discount if paying for the entire semester in advance.
* Studio Policies will be sent once student has completed a “get acquainted trial lesson.”

Get Acquainted Trial Lesson

All potential new students are asked to set up a “get acquainted trial lesson” so that the student/parent and I can meet, discuss goals and work together for a few minutes. If we both feel like we’re a “good fit,” the student will be offered a spot in the studio (or placed on the wait list.) The cost for the trial lesson is $45, payable by cash, check or Zelle.

If you’d like to schedule a “get acquainted trial lesson,” please click on the ‘Voice Lesson - Get Acquanited’ form.

I look forward to hearing from you!
