A Christmas Story: the musical - national tour

Mark Stoddard will be playing the iconic role of Jean Shepherd in the national tour of this classic holiday musical.

Oh! Fudge! Ralphie Parker's one Christmas wish is pretty simple - he wants an air gun. His parents are not so keen on the idea, afraid that "You'll shoot your eye out!" A Christmas Story the musical is a whimsical, nostalgic stage adaptation of the beloved 1983 movie, featuring funny and witty songs provided by the songwriting duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hanson, Greatest Showman, Smash).

Ragtime - Arizona Musicfest

Mark Stoddard will be stage director.

Winner of four Tony Awards in 1998, Ragtime follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream. Based on E. L. Doctorow’s novel, and celebrated for its soaring musical score filled with ragtime, blues, jazz and show tunes, Ragtime, the musical, offers a moving portrait of America in the early 20th century. Produced in collaboration with the Herberger Theater Center, Arizona Musicfest’s production will feature guest Broadway stars, some of the top musical theater performers of the Valley, and the Musicfest Pops Ensemble, under the direction of Musicfest Resident Artist Josh Condon, with stage direction by Mark Stoddard.
